Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Italian sausage links
  • 3 bell peppers (mixed colors), sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. 2 Brown sausages on all sides, about 8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. 3 Add peppers and onion to the skillet. Cook 8-10 minutes until softened.
  4. 4 Add garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook 1 minute.
  5. 5 Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits.
  6. 6 Slice sausages and return to pan.
  7. 7 Simmer 5 minutes until sausage is cooked through.
  8. 8 Garnish with fresh basil.
