Ingredients
- 2 lbs Italian sausage links
- 3 bell peppers (mixed colors), sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- 1 Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- 2 Brown sausages on all sides, about 8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 3 Add peppers and onion to the skillet. Cook 8-10 minutes until softened.
- 4 Add garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook 1 minute.
- 5 Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits.
- 6 Slice sausages and return to pan.
- 7 Simmer 5 minutes until sausage is cooked through.
- 8 Garnish with fresh basil.
